13 Apps to Help You Make the Most of RiseUp Summit 2015

RiseUp Summit 2015, how would you make the most of your entrepreneurship fest experience?
You’re probably following hashtag #RiseUp15 on social networks, but if you want to get the best out of the event and the city of Cairo, check out these apps:

1- RiseUp Summit App

The app will make it easier to browse the expansive agenda RiseUp Summit has to offer and connect to every part of the event this weekend.

2- Scannable

Evernote Scannable is the fastest mobile scanner app. Scan business cards, receipts, and documents. Quick scans, ready to export to PDF or JPG.

3- LinkedIn

Assuming you exchanged business cards with the people you met at the conference, look them up on LinkedIn and request a connection.

4- Evernote

The productivity charts in the app stores are awash in great note-taking apps, ranging from the complicated—Evernote would let you describe every part of your life with enough detail to satisfy three of the five senses—to the useful-but-relatively-one-dimensional (think of the naive Notes app on iOS).

5- Sunrise Calendar

Calendar is a gorgeous calendar app made for Google Calendar and iCloud users. Designed with love, Sunrise is a new experience that will make your life easier during RiseUp Summit.

6- Jeeran

Lost in this limitless city? Jeeran is designed to use offline and includes attractions, museums, and things to do in the Central and Greater Cairo area.

7- FollowUp

Followup makes connecting with the people you meet during RiseUp Summit easy. Write up your canned emails (think of it as a template). Any time you get a business card, snap a picture of the card and pick the template. Followup will email the canned response.

8- Uber

Need a ride anywhere, call a Uber driver. Get a reliable ride in minutes with the Uber app — no reservations or waiting in taxi lines.

9- Elmenus

One of the best parts of visiting Cairo is getting to indulge in the amazing food that the city has to offer. Culinary delights extend far beyond Koshary (though don’t skip this while here!) and the city’s food scene includes top-notch restaurants for around the world – you name it and Elmenus will have many great options to choose from.

10- Nav&Go

RiseUp Summit is not your typical conference. keeping up with the 10s of session happning at the same time at various locations across Downtown Cairo can be a nightmar.  Nav&Go is your guide: indoor turn-by-turn navigation, indoor location awareness, context-aware information, and more.

11- Rakna App

You can drive around downtown trolling for a space during RiseUp. Or you can just use your smartphone. RAKNA is an on demand parking service. They pick you’re car, park it, and return it to you whenever you want. It’s fast, safe, and affordable.

12- Shisha Square

The art of shisha hopping has changed considerably over the last decade or so. Back in the pre-smartphone days, all you needed for a night shisha hopping was some of cash and possibly a sick day in the morning. Now, you have Shisha Square, an app that shows you where to get your shisha fix wherever you are.

13- Snapchat

Snapchat isn’t just for sharing slices of your life with your friends. Join and view our public collections of photos and videos captured live at the summit— say a panel or concert — even with people who aren’t on your friends list. Don’t forget to follow us on Snapchat @adigitalboom
Enjoy this year’s summit to the max. See you around everyone.
