Coldplay will play a gig on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31 at du Arena on Yas Island as part of their A Head Full of Dreams tour.
The surprise was confirmed on Twitter by the band itself:

The British rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist and keyboardist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland (their original name was Pectoralz) – and have taken home seven Grammy Awards in their two decade career.
Tickets will go on sale at 12pm on Wednesday November 30 and will be available at Ticket Master and Virgin Megastores.
