OZZ Launches Digital Wallet for Contactless ID and Data Sharing in MENA

OZZ Launches Ultra-Secure Digital Contact Wallet

Dubai-based startup OZZ Technologies has introduced OZZ, a secure digital contact wallet designed to help individuals and businesses manage and share their contact details and identification documents without the need for physical cards or paperwork.

Initially developed for enterprise use, the product has evolved into a multi-purpose platform serving sales teams, consultants, healthcare professionals, and tech-savvy individuals seeking fast and secure ID sharing.

Built for a Post-COVID Digital Economy

OZZ was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the demand for contactless solutions accelerated across industries. Founder Ahmed Wasfie says the goal was to create a unified and privacy-focused tool for exchanging personal and professional data in real time.

“We wanted to solve the inefficiency of paper-based contact sharing, without compromising security or control,” Wasfie said. “Especially in environments where verified identity is essential.”

How OZZ Works

Users can create a digital profile that includes contact information, social media links (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok, WeChat, Skype), and government-issued IDs like passports or driver’s licenses. The platform supports selective sharing, allowing users to hide or password-protect specific items when sending information.

Data is encrypted and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with multi-factor authentication layered in. The platform is available in six languages, including Arabic, English, and Chinese.

B2C and Enterprise Applications

Beyond individual use, OZZ is gaining traction among companies with large client-facing teams. Businesses can issue branded profiles, track usage via dashboards, and significantly cut costs on printed materials — with OZZ reporting up to 70% savings on business card expenses.

OZZ vs. Global Competitors

In a growing market for digital identity and networking tools, OZZ competes with players like:

  • Popl (US): NFC-enabled digital business cards used widely by influencers and professionals.
  • HiHello (US): A networking app offering smart business cards and CRM integrations.

OZZ differentiates by focusing on document-level encryption, ID verification using AI, and localization for the MENA region — something global players often overlook.

Inspired by Dubai’s Paperless Strategy

The product aligns with the Dubai Paperless Strategy, which encourages digital transformation across government and business sectors. Wasfie’s team says the platform is designed to support this shift by offering secure alternatives to physical document handling.

Availability and Roadmap

OZZ is currently available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Users can access core features for free, with premium functionality unlocked by purchasing a physical OZZ tag. Future updates will add biometric authentication and deeper enterprise integrations.

This is Wasfie’s third venture, following the BackPack app and digital agency AWStreams. OZZ Technologies is headquartered in Dubai, with a focus on secure identity infrastructure for a mobile-first Middle East audience.
