Facebook, Instagram go down worldwide in a widespread outage

Having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram? You’re not alone!

Users from all around the world have reported several outages on Wednesday while accessing Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. People have reported that Facebook and Instagram are not working probably, there’re error messages when trying to load the Facebook website, share posts, leave comments, as well as accessing the Instagram app.

The facebook-owned messaging app, Whatsapp is working fine without outages.

In a tweet, Facebook said:

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement provided to USA TODAY. “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”

And just like every Facebook outage, users headed to Twitter with the hashtag #FacebookDown quickly becoming a trending topic worldwide.
