When you click the verification link, you’re asked to approve a new page role under your admin settings. But here’s the catch: you’re not just verifying — you’re assigning full admin access to a page called something like “Page Verifee.” Once approved, they can immediately remove you and take full control of your page.

- Facebook will never ask you to give admin access to another page or profile to verify your page.
- Verification requests that ask for ownership permissions are always fraudulent.
