Marketing Kingdom Cairo 2: Dates And First Confirmed Speakers

The second edition of the Marketing Kingdom Cairo, Egypt’s only international marketing event, will take place from 26-27 October in Cairo.

“After the phenomenal success last October, in 2016 we are taking the Marketing Kingdom Cairo to the next level by bringing some of the world’s most innovative marketers to Egypt. In 2016 expect more interactive discussions, groundbreaking speakers and networking opportunities with over 500 marketing professionals from Egypt and across the region” said in his statement Kosta Petrov, Event Director for the Marketing Kingdom Cairo.

The organizers of the event also announced the event’s first confirmed speakers:

Ian Manning, Head of Agencies Middle East, North Africa & Pakistan, Facebook

Ian has over 20 years of experience working in Media and Marketing, having held senior positions in both Agencies and Media Owners in the UK, South Africa and Dubai including both global and local roles. Ian was recently responsible for the commercial launch of Instagram in MENA and is currently leading Facebook’s Agency team across the region.

Benjamin Ampen, Head Of Sales, MENA, Twitter

Since joining Twitter in 2012, he has launched the company’s sales activities in France, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Prior to joining Twitter, Ampen worked at Google for four years, where he spent his last years spearheading the business development team across the UK and EMEA region. Ampen has also previously worked at Universal McCann and Detecon Consulting. He holds three Master’s Degrees in Management from highly esteemed universities in London, Germany, and Paris and has lived in Paris, Berlin, Dublin, and London before relocating to Dubai.

Tim McLoughlin, Head Of Social Media, Saatchi and Saatchi

Tim McLoughlin is the head of social media for creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi. He leads social strategy for brands such as Toyota and Visa matching creative ideas to effective execution. He is passionate about how technology changes human behaviour and consumer engagement with brands, politics and sport. As a political blogger he was once named “one of the ten cleverest men in Britain” and comments regularly about politics on TV and radio.

Last year’s Marketing Kingdom Cairo conference was Egypt’s first ever marketing event to include presentations by all major social media brands: Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo! and Shazam. The event is organized by P World, an international creative agency organizing business events in 30 countries across the world.
