Donald Trump was elected America’s 45th president Tuesday, an extremely surprising victory for a businessman and political newbie who took advantage of racial tensions on his way to the White House.
Trump said Hillary Clinton had called him to concede the race. “Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country,” he said. “I mean that very sincerely.”
