Jordan Belfort or the Wolf of Wall Street sent a message to Egyptians warning them from a fraudster who’s promoting a fake seminar in December that he’s supposed to speak at.
Belfort argued Egyptians who bought tickets to the seminar to ask for a refund immediately or call the police to arrest the promoter.
The seminar event on Facebook has disappeared right after Belfort’s warning post, the identity of the promoter remains unclear.
Here’s a transcript of what Jordan Belfort said in his message if you can’t see the embedded Facebook post
“THIS IS AN UPDATE ON A SEMINAR IN EGYPT THIS DECEMBER THAT I AM SUPPOSEDLY SPEAKING AT:
Anyone who has bought tickets or was thinking about buying tickets to this event, I want you to know that I am not — I repeat, I AM NOT SPEAKING AT THIS EVENT. The promoter is a fraud and continues to lie to me every day, swearing money was sent. If you bought a ticket, you need to ask for a refund immediately. If the promoter won’t give you one, you should call the local police and get this asshole arrested. This is a total fraud and I alerting the local Egyptian newspapers and news shows.
Please share this post with all your friends and ask them to do the same. Also, if you know anyone in the Egyptian media, please let them know whats going on. If a reporter contacts me, I will give them an interview about this.
The quicker word gets out about this, the less money this idiot will be able to squander before he gets arrested,
Thanks,
JB”
