Oasis500 appoints Luma Fawaz as Chief Executive Officer

Jordan-based seed investment company and business accelerator, Oasis500, has appointed Luma Fawaz as the Chief Executive Officer “CEO”, replacing Faisal Hakki who occupied the position since June 2016.

Luma has more than 18 years of extensive experience in investment and financial analysis, she worked for multiple investment companies.

She previously occupied the Head of Investments position at Oasis500 since August 2015.

In a statement by Oasis 500, Ms. Fawaz emphasized on the importance of the upcoming period for paving Oasis500’s path. She also highlighted the importance of enriching Oasis500 through capitalizing on its team’s experience, learnings and efforts over the past eight years, to capture the many opportunities ahead and to continue its journey as a pioneering company in the investment and entrepreneurship sector and a distinctive supporter of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jordan & MENA.

Lama holds two bachelor degrees in Political Sciences & International Relations from Boston University – United States and a master’s degree with distinction in Finance from the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute.
