Wael Fakharany joins Careem as Managing Director Egypt and Senior VP

Wael Fakharany joined Careem as Managing Director Egypt and Senior Vice President Government Relationship, after 16 years of leadership positions with Google Egypt, MEA, Emitac Group, 3Com and Wireless Dynamics.

Wael joined Google in 2008, served as Regional Manager Egypt, and North Africa and later became the Google [x] Regional Business Lead-Middle East and Africa (MEA) from 2014 – 2016, where he managed to take the business to out-right leadership, and kept the business growing.

He has a long track record of achievements in building new company divisions and subsidiaries as well as, advising business on strategy, growth and problem-solving and very successful in building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers, winning high profile strategic deals.

Wael has a strong ability to create, structure, and deliver complex business deals with large organizations while working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
