Vodafone Egypt reached 5 million followers on Facebook, to be the most followed telecom operator on Facebook in MEA, GCC, & Europe regions.
For the record, Vodafone Egypt on Facebook was founded in July 2008 by Ahmed Maher, an employee who shared the idea with his colleagues, but only one of them believed in his dream; They started to execute, learn, make mistakes, fail, and succeed, until the company discovered their efforts in July 2009 and decided to support them with all the needed resources to make their dream come true. In 2014, Vodafone Egypt proved that they’re “The telecom industry leader on Facebook”
Vodafone comes 11th in the global ranking, after global pages like Skype, Verizon, AT&T, Orange and the massive Indian population, while Vodafone Egypt is a local subsidiary not a global page! That reveals the huge efforts spent over the last 7 years by the team in Egypt, to become the only Vodafone OpCo in the global ranking. A great achievement indeed!
