Reham Saeed’s television talk show ‘Sabaya Al Khair lost 18 major sponsors and advertisers today following a storm of criticism on social media for invading the privacy of a sexual harassment victim and humiliating her in front of millions of viewers.

Brands that pulled ads from Reham Saeed’s show

Beyti Juice, Eva Baby, Vitrac, Aloe Eva, CLEAR, Persil, Downy, Dove, Signal, TODO, Freska, Chipsy, Vatika Styling Gel, Al Maraie, Fine, Pampers Lux, and Elaraby – Said they pulled advertising from Sabaya Al Khair talk show as people on social media criticized the show for violating media ethics and called for boycotting its sponsors and advertisers.

The controversy began when Saeed ridiculed the harassed girl’s photos, questioning and blaming the way the young woman dressed.

Saeed told the victim in the televised interview that her tight jeans and sleeveless shirt provoked the harasser, noting that her clothes weren’t suitable for a mall. Boycott campaign to advertisers and brands because of Reham Saeed

Vodafone Egypt confirms, “We are not sponsoring Reham Saeed’s Sabaya Al Khair TV show.”

Egyptian satirist Bassem Youssef tweeted, “Won’t you do it @VodafoneEgypt?” Youssef was referring to the operator’s commercial breaks aired during Sabaya Al Khair’s show. Vodafone replied, saying, “We’re not sponsoring that show.”
