A15 Spins Off E7gezly and PassApp into Separate Companies

E7gezly and PassApp to become two separate companies

E7gezly stays under A15 ownership, while PassApp becomes an independent venture led by founder Hany El Boraie

Tech investor A15 announced the strategic separation of its two digital platforms — E7gezly, the ticketing and booking provider, and PassApp, a digital pass solution — into independent companies. A15 will retain full ownership of E7gezly, while Hany El Boraie, co-founder and former CEO of E7gezly, takes over PassApp as a standalone venture.

El Boraie has exited E7gezly to focus exclusively on growing PassApp outside the E7gezly umbrella. A15 CEO Fadi Antaki acknowledged El Boraie’s contribution, stating: “Hany has been a cornerstone in E7gezly’s success. We fully support his decision to focus on PassApp and look forward to the possibility of investing in it soon.”

El Boraie described the move as an exciting new chapter. “Our journey with A15 has been a rewarding one. I have full trust in Fady Younan, E7gezly’s new CEO, to drive the company’s growth. We wish the team continued success in their next phase,” he said.

Tamer Azer, Investment and Venture Development Director at A15, added that the decision was driven by market shifts and the need for greater flexibility. “This separation will allow both companies to pursue independent funding and tailor their growth strategies for more venture-oriented models,” said Azer.

New Leadership for E7gezly

Taking over the reins at E7gezly is newly appointed CEO Fady Younan, who brings a fresh vision for the company’s future. Antaki commented, “Fady is the right leader for this next chapter. He has a clear vision to elevate E7gezly into a regional digital powerhouse.”

Younan expressed gratitude to El Boraie and signaled an ambitious roadmap ahead. “We thank Hany for his leadership. Our next steps will focus on building world-class ticketing products and becoming a key player in the industry,” Younan said.

Founded in 2012, E7gezly offers seamless event booking solutions for organizers and venues across the MENA region.

PassApp, now spun off as an independent startup, provides mobile-based digital passes for event and service access.

A15 is a leading technology investor focused on building and scaling digital ventures across emerging markets.
