Where to watch House of the Dragon in MENA

Want to learn more about the story of House Targaryen? HBO series House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, will debut on OSN+ on August 22.

The new fantasy drama takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It details the rise of the Targaryen family to the Iron Throne.

This new HBO series is promising to be nothing short of extravagant. House of the Dragon is considered George R. R. Martin’s first return to the screen since he created Game of Thrones in the last decade. Martin has kept followers up to date by publishing his digital entries from time to time. “The look of it is great, and the acting, the directing, and writing are the first rate. And yes, for all you book fans, it IS my story. Sure, there are some changes from FIRE & BLOOD— but I think Ryan Condal and his writers made good choices. Even some improvements.”

Since he was heavily involved in the “making of,” literature fans will enjoy this one, too. But they won’t be the only ones; fans of menacing dragons will also get to see what Westeros looks like when the skies are teaming with them. It’s safe to say it’s expected to be an epic series. One that has everything from mystical dragon wars to the gruesome violence and epic stunts we’ve grown to love.

Another point worth mentioning about the series is they’ve gone all out with the cast, bringing a very diverse and unique collective who complements the show’s setting. The cast includes Paddy Considine (HBO’s The Third Day and The Outsider), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint (It’s a Sin, Doctor Who), Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans. Milly Alcock, Bethany Antonia, John Macmillan, and Graham McTavish round out the cast.

The show has ten episodes and starts on OSN+ and OSN Showcase at the same time and date as in the US. The first show will be at 5 a.m. GST on August 22, but it will be shown again at 9 p.m. on OSN Showcase.
